God’s Word IS Health: Marpeh מרפא!

Proverbs 4:20-22

“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes;  Keep them in the midst of your heart;
For they are life to those who find them, And health {marpé} to all their flesh {basa-arow}.”

If you go see the doctor in Israel, like anywhere else in the world, he will give you medicine for what ails you.  Their word for Medicine is “Marpe,” which also means, “Health.”   I think it is NO accident that approximately 100 years before Israel became a nation again, Hebrew was revived to be used as their common language.  You’re going to see through the course of this article why it is God’s language of choice! 😁
Secrets In The Hebrew Language.
“Marpé,” is a very interesting word.  You see, God loves to hide secrets in the Hebrew language, including the individual letters themselves.  They give us a much better idea of God’s view of the subject and something you would never get merely from the definition.
Hebrew reads from right to left.  It is a form of picture writing, like Chinese. These word pictures tell a very interesting story all their own.  Below is how the Hebrew word for “health” is spelled:
[מרפא]. The letters are Mem, Resh, Peh, and Aleph.

[מ]  Mem is a picture of flowing water; It is also a picture of spirits in general but, most often, the Holy Spirit.
[ר] Resh = head/think/meditate
[פ] Pei = mouth/speak
[א] Aleph = ox/sacrifice/leader, referring to Jesus.

The word pictures tell us this story:  “The Holy Spirit helps us to meditate on and speak of the Sacrifice (of Jesus).”  That’s what produces “health.” 🙌🏻💖

Church, we need to see all our sicknesses and infirmities as cursed at the cross, FULLY paid for by Jesus’ sacrifice.  We must see them as taken away from us and laid on Jesus, Whose death was FAR AND ABOVE an OVERPAYMENT on our behalf!!! 🙌🏻💖

More Than A Promise.

You may have heard that healing is a promise, but IT IS FAR MORE than that:  It is a blood-bought right of the blood-bought congregation.  The word of God is “marpé” to your “flesh: [בשרו]ba-asa-arow,” in Hebrew.  This word, “Flesh: בשר,” (Basar) refers to your “Physical body,” not your soul or spirit.

Menorah Verse?

Menorah?  What does a candlestick have to do with this verse? 😳 Well, in addition to there being secrets in the Hebrew language, there are other secrets hidden in the text as well. 😄 The Jewish rabbis for centuries have been aware of a phenomena known as the “Bible Code.”  This verse and others like it are a part of that code known as, “Menorah verses,” and there are others.

This may sound a little strange to some of you.  Bear in mind, however, that this phenomenon wasn’t discovered or invented by a Gentile.  It was Jewish Rabbis, who by the way don’t believe in Jesus, that discovered it.  We should probably believe them.  Let’s check out the phrase below.

Proverbs 4:22a
22 “For they are life TO THOSE WHO FIND THEM life to those who find them.”

Concepts Important To God.
How do you ascertain what word or concept is most important to God?  The Menorah!  Such verses contain seven words in Hebrew.  Here’s what you do:  Place each word above a lamp of the Menorah and the middle one will be the most important.

Why the middle? Besides being the central focus, all of the six lamps– three on each side–point toward the center lamp, called the “shemesh or servant lamp.”  It is removable, is always lighted first, and then used to light all the others. It’s a picture of Jesus, our eternal servant Who must always be the center!  Everything in scripture is pointing to Him!

Menorah Words.

Not only are there Menorah verses; there are menorah words!  😮

The word above is the one above the central lamp of the menorah in the verse we studied above.  It contains seven letters.  It is pronounced, “lə·mō·ṣə·’ê·hem,” and means, “Unto those that find them,” and   looks like this in Hebrew:
Now, every seven-word verse may not be a menorah verse, but those that are have something hidden for us to find.  Let’s find out what this one is hiding!
A Menorah Within A Menorah.
This particular menorah verse is a very unique.  It is a menorah within a menorah!  There are seven words in the verse itself and seven letters in the middle word.  The middle letter of this middle word in the MOST IMPORTANT. It is the letter  “[א]-ALEPH which means “SACRIFICE!”
This points to Jesus’ sacrifice as being THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT OF ALL TIME! 🙌🏻💖

Where Are The Words About The Finished Work?

What words of God should we focus on if we want to have health and long life?  Those that focus on Jesus’ sacrifice and His finished work, of course.  Where would they be found?

Look closely at the picture above.  Can you see that each of the letters in the verse pictured above has a number by each one from 1-27?  That tells us where to find the words of life which tell about Jesus’ sacrifice, which is…….THE 27 BOOKS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT! 🙌🏻💖

144,000 Jewish Evangelists.
One day soon, the rapture will take place.  Every single Christian on the face of the the earth will disappear.  Who will be left behind to preach the Gospel?  NO ONE.
But…..our awesome Abba will raise up 144,000 Jewish evangelists after we disappear and enlighten them with the truth about Jesus.  They will discover this, and other, menorah verses that He has left for them to find.  It will be one piece in a long line of glaring evidence that Jesus was indeed their long-hoped-for Messiah and that the New Testament is where they’ll find the words of the RISEN, GLORIFIED MESSIAH, JESUS CHRIST!
These enlightened evangelists will take the Gospel to the whole world and many more will be saved during the time of the greatest troubles to strike planet earth:  THE GREAT TRIBULATION.  Life will be very difficult indeed for believers during this time.  But Jesus will have the final victory!!!
They, too, will be living proof that God’s Word really IS Health!

  1. I was blessed to see how the Hebrew words transformed the scriptures in light. Which gave me deeper thoughts of how I can study the bible. Amen
