(Jesus blesses Abram.)

God made a big, sweeping statement to Abram in the opening verse. If you check out Galatians 3:8, you’ll learn that He had just preached to him the gospel. Based on what Abram heard, HE BELIEVED GOD.  It was because of his belief that he was blessed.
So How did God (Jesus) preach the Gospel to Abram when God’s word was not written down word until Moses came along? Amazingly, the entire New Testament is actually written far above our heads in the night sky.  Jesus looked up into the sky and recounted the gospel story as it was, and still is, written in the stars. 😮

If this is a new concept for you, 🤔 or maybe you believe that the stars are either astrology or just a bunch of fables, you may follow the link below to an entire series that will show you the REAL story in the stars as God Himself wrote it. He’s the One Who created the stars, placed them in the night sky, named them, and set them in motion, after all. I have to warn you, though: The series is in 44 parts 🤷‍♀️:

The REAL Story In The Stars Part 1: The Heavens Declare The Glory Of God.

History Is HIS-Story.

All of creation, in fact all of history, is HIS STORY, meaning Jesus!  The Bible, first and foremost, is all about that one magnificent, unselfish, incomparable Person and His selfless redemption of all mankind. Remember:  It is NOT at the Name of God that every knee shall bow; it is AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW!!!

Everywhere you look He is there:  In every line, every story, even in the Hebrew language itself.  In fact, the very first two letters of the very first word in Genesis 1:1 spell “Son: Bar (בָּר).  Yes, JESUS!

The Law Of First Mention.

There is a “law,” if you will, in the interpretation of scripture which states, The first mention or occurrence of a subject in Scripture establishes an unchangeable pattern, with that subject remaining unchanged in the mind of God throughout Scripture.”  In chapter 12 of Genesis is the first mention the word, “Blessing,” in the Bible.  This was an amazing, all-encompassing blessing God gave to Abram!  Not only did He bless him, He said that He would make his name great and make him a blessing to others.  Let’s see what it tells us about what is on God’s mind!

Secrets In The Hebrew Language.

Hebrew reads from right to left and is a language of picture writing, like Chinese.  These pictures are very consistent and tell us a story you would never get simply from any definition of a given word.  They also give us a glimpse of its meaning from God’s perspective. Wouldn’t that be good to know what He says about it!

Bless, “barak,” is spelled like this in Hebrew:  [ברך]
The word pictures are below:
[ב] bet = house
[ר] resh = head, think, meditate
[כ/ך] kaf = hand curved in blessing.
The letters, “Bet-resh” (בר) together spell “Bar.”   Even in Israel today this is the word for “son.”  There are two different letters for “Kaf”: (כ) kaf and final kaf (ך).  The first letter is found anywhere but at the end, and final kaf is only found at the end of a word. Both are pictures of a curved hand extended in blessing.  The hand is curved as it would be if you placed it on someone’s shoulder.  It is a picture of the laying on of hands.

Put all that together and this is what the word bless means to God:
“The Son extends His Hand to bless.”  But bless with what? Read on…..😁

This is the Hebrew word for “blessing,” and its Hebrew spelling:  “Blessing: barak-ah  [ברכה]
The first three letters you’ve met.  The letter at the far left, “Hei,”(ה) has been added.    It is the fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. It is a picture of an open window.  And what does God pour out of the windows of heaven?  Blessings!
He blesses us with His grace.  That’s why we say “hei” means “GRACE!”  Because it is also the number “5,” we say, “Five is the number of Grace!”

The message of the word, “B’racha,” is:
“The SON  extends His hand and blesses you with GRACE!”

So you see there can be NO BLESSING WITHOUT THE SON:  JESUS!
