Psalms (תהילים): The 19th Book.

Psalm 22:1
“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?
Why are You so far from helping Me,
And from the words of My groaning?”
The Psalms have always been a source of great peace and comfort to the man or woman of God, like the words above from Psalm 22 spoken by our Lord Jesus while He suffered on the cross.  Though they are primarily ALL about Him, like the rest of the Torah and New Testament, they are there for our blessing and comfort as well.
But the entire book, also, most definitely has a prophetic element to it, which is quite amazing, as you will see. 😍

Prophetic Book.
Long before Y’Shua/Jesus walked this earth, Jewish rabbis realized that Psalms was a prophetic book, not just of haMoshiach, but also of future world events. There was always something there, just out of reach, that they couldn’t quite touch. The revelation of those future events would ultimately unveil themselves, but only to those living during the time period to which they corresponded.
As expected, the fulfillment of all the prophecies about Y’Shua in the Psalms did indeed occur during His life when He walked this earth. Others, however, were not meant for past generations to fully understand. The one just prior to His return would be privy to them, which is this present day and age.  We are that generation.
So, let’s take a closer look at this amazing book and a few of its prophetic aspects. We are going to see that many of the events of the preceding century align with their corresponding Psalm. Confused? Come and see!
Preeminent One.
Though much is written about their long-awaited Messiah in the Torah, He wasn’t quite what anyone expected. Most thought He would come as a conquering King and rescue them from their enemies, which at that time was Rome. This is a big reason why they missed their visitation and why most did not recognize Him when He came. Many still don’t.
Another reason is this: Like today, most of the elites in power at that time, they did not want anyone upsetting the apple cart and getting in their way. They wanted to keep the status quo with their positions of power, influence, and affluence. Sadly, these misguided “leaders” blinded the minds of many to the truth. The rest, sadly, is history. 😞
Never forget this one thing: The Bible, first and foremost, is all about One Person:  Our Lord Jesus Christ. As haMoshiach: Messiah, He must always be preeminent.  That is why Psalms is primarily prophetic of  Messiah, like the verse in the opening passage and the ones below:
Psalms 22:1 “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning.”
Psalms 22:6-7  “But I am  a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised by the people. All those who see Me ridicule Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head…”

Bear this in in mind:  Jesus suffered and died long after Psalm 22 was written. David penned those verses more than 1,000 years before the Son of the Most High came to earth. Even so, through the Holy Spirit, he described in minute, excruciating detail what haMoshiach would suffer on that terrible day, almost as if he were the one being tortured.  He probably realized that he was speaking prophetically of Messiah, though he certainly didn’t have the full revelation.  But you and I sure do.  His words speak VOLUMES to us! 😭

Words Of  Comfort.
Psalm 22 ends with these words:  “HE HAS DONE THIS,” literally translated, “IT IS FINISHED.”  This was Jesus’ final cry from the cross.  AMAZING!   The fact that the first and last lines of this Psalm are recorded as being spoken by Jesus on the cross is an indication that He very likely spoke the entire Psalm as He was suspended between heaven and earth.
If He found comfort and strength from the Psalms in His darkest hour, then that is their main purpose.  It is not primarily for the purpose of prophesying world events.  But…..there are hints here and there of things that have happened and are currently happening in our day and age.  It’s really quite amazing how world events have neatly lined up with God’s word, as we shall soon see.

Timeline.
The very next Psalm, the 23rd, begins by declaring, “The LORD IS my Shepherd, I shall not want…” Because of what Jesus accomplished in Psalm 22 in the past, He can now become our Shepherd.  That’s why we, in the present, can expect Him to take care of us now.
“He MAKES ME lie down in green pastures.” Jesus has to MAKE ME lie down.  I don’t even know how to relax. “HE leadeth me beside still waters. HE restoreth my soul.
Wow!  HE DOES EVERYTHING!  Then, uh oh…Look what happens:
“Yea though I walk…”
Now it’s “I walk.” Now I go my own way and get myself into trouble.  Even so, HE is still with me.  As He promised, He never leaves or forsakes me.  HIS ROD AND HIS STAFF COMFORT ME.  All these promises are for us TODAY!
To summarize:  Psalm 22 talks about Jesus passion in the past, Psalm 23 is for us in the present, and Psalm 24 is our future when He will return to earth and rule from His holy city: Jerusalem.  They’re a timeline!  Awesome! ♥️

Divine Order.

The books of the Bible are not arranged in order of chronology, in case you were unaware. If it were,  Job would be first.  Now, go to the table of contents in your Bible and count until you get to Psalms. Notice that the Holy Spirit has placed it as the 19th book.  This is no accident!  There’s a hint placed here for us which points us to events that occurred during the 20th century, the nineteen hundreds, continuing on into the 21st century.

(Below are two links that demonstrate more about the Divine order of God’s book for those who would like further study):

Divisions Of The Old Testament.

Divisions Of The New Testament.

Israel: God’s Timepiece.

Everything that happens in the world today is directly because of the smallest nation of them all:  Israel.  All of world history revolves around this one tiny nation.  Incredibly, the 19th book bears this out.  Below are some of the historical events of the last century compared to the Psalm corresponding to that year. These are just the highlights, you understand.  There are far too many to mention them all.  I’m sure if you read the Psalms with each one’s corresponding year, you’ll find amazing revelations of your own.

Let’s check out a few examples.
Psalm 42/1942.
Following this line of thinking, Psalm 42 would correspond to 1942, right?  Remember what was happening at that time?  WWll was raging.  God’s chosen people, the Jews, were being destroyed in German concentration camps, which were were in full swing by then.  This Psalm talks about their sufferings:
“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me?”
Obviously, this is not a triumphant cry but one of utter despair which one would expect given the evil God’s people endured, a fact with which the world still struggles to comprehend.
(Yom HaShoah ve-haG’vurah:  Holocaust and Heroes {Remembrance} Day)

No wonder Jesus wept so violently as He entered Jerusalem.  His heart was literally breaking because He saw what would happen to His natural family in the future; He saw the holocaust; He saw how His people would suffer.  He loved them so much!  All He wanted to do was gather them under His wings and protect them; but they would not allow it.  Their leaders even went so far as to declare to Pilate “Let His blood be on us and on our children.”   And on them and their children it was, causing 2,000 years of wandering, heartache, suffering, and death.

Remember this: They wittingly (and unwittingly) refused to come under His wings of protection. He respected their wishes and left them alone. It wasn’t what He wanted to do, you understand.  He desperately wanted to protect them…..but they were the ones who didn’t want Him.
God is a great Respector of our free choice, you see.  He can’t force His protection on anyone, even if it means they’re downfall and destruction, since we must agree, by covenant, to allow it. Y’Shua embodies the full covenant. Without Him, there is only a partial covenant left.
You must understand that Our Messiah’s death was for ALL of us: Jew and Gentile alike.  But if you don’t accept His payment for your sins, you are on the wrong side of His death and legally guilty of the blood of the Lord, God’s sinless Son.  Because the Jewish people rejected Him, they were left on the wrong side of it, lacking the full covenant. That is why He was not able to protect them.
A covenant is not simply an agreement; it is far more. In order to understand about “Covenant,” you may follow the link below and you will see what a full covenant is as distinguished from a partial one and why
God cannot intervene in our affairs without at least one:
Psalm 43/1943.
This crying out continues in Psalm 43 where we read the following excerpts:  “Vindicate me, O God, And plead my cause against an ungodly nation.”
Nation here is singular.  What nation was that?  Germany.
“Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!”
Again, man here is singular.  Which man was it?  Adolf Hitler.
Only in these Psalms of the early 40’s do you find such plaintive phrases.  Though the persecution started much earlier in 1938, it wasn’t until the early 40’s that the German machine, lead by Hitler, rounded up the Jewish people. 6 million of them were cut off, fully 2/3 of their number worldwide, just like Zachariah prophesied.  (See Zachariah 13:8) 😭 😭 😭
Psalm 45/1945.
In Psalm 45, however, we can see that the tone changes dramatically from despair to triumph!  No cries of despair or pleading for help here:
“My heart is overflowing with a good theme.”  WWll was over!

Further on, incredibly, there is even a hint of the atomic bombs, which God calls “Arrows:”  “Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies; The peoples fall under You.”  In August of 1945, the U.S. dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima.  Two weeks later, Nagasaki was hit with the second. After these two very sad events, WWll came to a screeching halt.

Psalm 46/1946.
Now, look what it says near the end of Psalm 46:  “Come, behold the works of the Lord , WHO HAS MADE DESOLATIONS in the earth. HE MAKES WARS CEASE TO THE END OF THE EARTH; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire.” Psalms 46:8-9
WWll literally involved the entire world, from the Atlantic to the Pacific, Germany to Japan, to the United States of America. But in 1946 as peace was restored and the world began to recover.  Here and there, though, you can certainly see DESOLATIONS in the earth, especially in Japan.  The atomic bombs left terrible destruction in their wake. 😭
This phrase, “HE MAKES WARS CEASE TO THE END OF THE EARTH,” appears nowhere else but here in Psalm 46. AMAZING!  How accurate is our Bible!
Clues In Zechariah.
BUT…..Though 2/3 of the Jewish people were cut off, the other 1/3 returned!  Their children came back and the nation of Israel was born soon after, fulfilling many Bible prophecies:

Zechariah 13:8-9

“And it shall come to pass in all the land,” Says the LORD, “ That TWO-THIRDS in it shall be cut off and die, But one –third shall be left in it: I will bring the one –third through the fire, Will refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. THEY WILL CALL ON MY NAME, AND I WILL ANSWER THEM. I will say, ‘This is My people’; And each one will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’ ”

Unprecedented Kairos (Prophetic) Event.
On May 14th 1948 THE MOST AWESOME EVENT of monumental kairós proportions happened: The United Nations voted to give the Jewish people a homeland, as much a surprise to them as well as the whole world.  The Jewish people came back to their own land after 2,000 years of exile!  🥰

Modern-Day King Cyrus.
President Harry Truman was the first world leader to recognize Israel as a state against the advice of his entire cabinet.  Many of his staff threatened to resign if he endorsed the new nation. He actually told his staff that he wanted three days in seclusion to consider the matter.  What he did during those three days would not be known for 50 years.
We now know what he was up to: He secluded himself in order to read the Bible! He read about King Cyrus who had helped the Jews return from Babylon to their homeland in 536 B.C.  He wanted to be the second King Cyrus for the Jewish people; he wanted to be the “king” who helped them to return to their homeland after 2,000 years of wandering! ♥️
The Fig Tree.
Jesus also had said they would come back as a nation one day in this passage below:
“Now learn this parable from the FIG TREE: When its branch has already become tender and PUTS FORTH LEAVES, you know that SUMMER IS NEAR.  So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!  Assuredly, I say to you, THIS GENERATION WILL BY NO MEANS PASS AWAY TILL ALL THESE THINGS TAKE PLACE.”  Matthew 24:32-34
(Jewish people return to their homeland)

The fig tree is always a picture of the nation of Israel. It blossomed indeed in 1948 when her people came back as a nation. The generation that witnessed their return would be the last generation before Jesus comes to take back control over the earth.  That’s us, Church!  Many people who witnessed this momentous event are now in their 70’s and 80’s.

Psalm 48/1948.
In alignment with their return, Psalm 48 sounds like a glorious celebration!
Psalm 48:1
“Great is the Lord , and greatly to be praised In the CITY of our God, In His HOLY MOUNTAIN.”
So!  The Jewish people have a city!
“Beautiful in elevation, The joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King. God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge.” Psalm 48:2-3
Now it sounds like they’re back in their land, doesn’t it?!
“WALK ABOUT ZION, And go all around her. COUNT HER TOWERS; Mark well her bulwarks; Consider her palaces; That you may tell it to the generation following. For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death.”
Psalm 48:12-14
Woohoo!  They are home at last!
Further on it says,: “For behold, the kings assembled, They passed by together. They saw it, and so they marveled; They were troubled, they hastened away. Fear took hold of them there, And pain, as of a woman in birth pangs…” Psalm 48:4-6
004F9CDA-5D03-4AFA-9F2D-1BAC0EFD71C3
The United Nations.
“The king’s of the earth” sounds like The United Nations, doesn’t it?  Not all voted in favor of Israel, of course, but enough of their number did.  And, to the astonishment of the entire world, God’s chosen people at last had a place to call home.  They came back to the land promised to them so long ago by the King of Heaven.
Many of the UN members were deeply troubled, even frightened, at the formation of a Jewish state.  Her beginning was definitely like that of a woman giving birth.
Ancient Hatred.
Less than 24 hours later, the armies of Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, who heretofore had not one ounce of desire to posses the mosquito-ridden, malaria-infested wasteland that was Palestine, invaded. The Jewish people were the rightful owners of the land. Their forefather, Abraham, bought the land in the first recorded property purchase and legal transaction in history.
Sadly, though they themselves don’t know why, these neighbors bear an ancient hatred against them, instigated and fueled by the devil himself.  He hates Israel and hates the Jews because from them came the Dragon Slayer Who defeated him: The Lion of the tribe of Judah!  JESUS IS HIS NAME!
These nations rose up in (un)holy anger, bound and determined to wipe the newly-formed state off the face of the earth. They had all the weapons and war machines they needed to bomb Israel into oblivion.  But…….they failed MISERABLY!  Why?  They didn’t bargain for Divine intervention. They still don’t understand that fact. No one will EVER take away their land ever again.
Just like Zechariah said, His people did call on Him AND HE ANSWERED!! 🙌🏻
Divine Intervention.
There are no lack of stories about inexplicable things that happened to the would-be invaders:  Damaging hail storms that sprang up out of nowhere; missles that either hit nothing, mysteriously changed course, simply failed to detonate, or landed on their own people. 😳

America To The Rescue!

Pilots from America came to their rescue…..unbidden. They heart that Israel was being attacked by five Arab nations with no way to defend herself.  Well, they responded to the call and came to their rescue AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE.

The Israelis had purchased a hodgepodge of old planes left over from the war. These pilots flew into Israel at night and assembled them from spare parts, hoping to be able to make them fly…..and fly they did!

The pilots from America went to work on them, volunteering their time and expertise. Then, they flew missions on behalf of the new state and were able to repulse their enemies on every side.

Imagine the shock and surprise of their Arab adversaries as planes from the direction of the nation they thought didn’t have an air force bombed their planes on the tarmac!  They were shocked and dismayed, caught completely off guard!

David Bengurion called them “The finger of God.”  How right he was.  God did amazing things to protect and defend the fledgling nation, some which boggle the mind and cannot be construed as anything else but Divine intervention.

Many of their enemies even reported seeing incredible things, as shown in the picture below:
Yep. Armies of warrior Angels!   Others reported that their troops were unable to fire their weapons because their arms were paralyzed!  Still others saw a giant arm from the clouds that indicated they should cease and desist their attack.
👇👇👇
Bear in mind that these and many other stories did not come from the Israelis.  They came from the other side:  Syrians, Egyptians, etc. Amazing! 😮
As you can well imagine, their enemies were terrified!  Many surrendered without firing a single shot.  They shouted “Salam, salam,” “peace” in Arabic.  One soldier even “captured” an entire regiment, marching them to his commander at gunpoint.
Afterward, many of the attacking forces voiced a great respect for this powerful God Who was quite obviously protecting His people.
Earth Shattering Discovery Of 1947.
Just prior to the Israel’s return to their land, in the Spring of 1947, a Bedouin boy was tending his heard of goats in the barren Judaea desert near the Dead Sea. One of them went missing so he went to look for it.
He could hear its cries for help.  As he followed the sound, he heard it bleating in a cave somewhere nearby.

Now, there are a lot of caves in this region. It is VERY dangerous for you to go into them.  There are so many in fact that, if you get in trouble, it’s nearly impossible for anyone to find and help you. The young boy, knowing this, threw some stones into a cave as a precaution.  But he heard a sound he did not expect:  The crack of his stone hitting an earthen jar. Thinking he had stumbled upon some ancient treasure, he climbed into the cave to see.  Guess what he discovered?

The Dead Sea scrolls!

This has been called THE MOST IMPORTANT HISTORICAL FIND OF ALL TIME!
Scholars soon began pouring over them.  Of particular interest was the scroll of Isaiah written on sheepskin 2,000 years earlier, from the time of Jesus.  Incredibly, they found it to be WORD FOR WORD ACCURATE with our modern-day copies of the book!
In all, a total of ten caves were eventually discovered!
Who allowed this discovery?  Our God, that’s Who!  The scrolls were able to be preserved for all that time because the Dead Sea area, the lowest place on planet earth, is very, VERY dry.  Hardly any rain falls there:  Less than one inch per year.
This, of course, is all God’s wisdom.  It’s his way of assuring us that if His word is that accurate, YOU CAN TRUST HIM…..NOW!  If He says His word is life and health to all our flesh, IT IS!  If He says He will protect you from every evil and His angels will guard you, IT IS SO.
Psalm 49/1949
How curious that this discovery happened just before the state of Israel was born. 🤔 Psalm 49 it says the following:
“Hear this, all peoples; Give ear, all inhabitants of the world, Both low and high, Rich and poor together. My mouth shall speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart shall give understanding. I WILL INCLINE MY EAR TO A PROVERB; I WILL DISCLOSE MY DARK SAYING ON THE HARP.”  Psalms 49:1-4
5534C7AF-9FA4-4906-97E0-B24F42E9756A
(22 stringed Davidic Harp.)
Revealing Dark Sayings.
Remember, David was the main psalmist.  He played the psalms he wrote on his HARP.  Well, Hebrew is not only a form of picture writing, like Chinese, but each of the 22 letters is also a musical note. “Coincidentally (?)” David’s harp had 22 strings.  He could quite literally play the psalms on his harp by knowing which note corresponded to which letter.
From 1949 on, God began to reveal His “DARK SAYINGS” to the Jewish people.  More of their number have found Y’Shuah Jesus as their Messiah THAN EVER BEFORE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.
Still skeptical? Think this is all just coincidence?  Let’s check out some other events and see if they line up.
Psalm 67/1967.
According to the rabbis, Psalm 67 is a priestly prayer.  In order to pray this prayer the temple must be present.  Remember what happened in 1967?  The 6-day war.  It was 6 days in the 6th month of the 6th decade. (I’m sure you caught the “666” reference. This is God’s “wink and a nod” to us that we are in the age of the Antichrist.)
When all the dust settled, the Jewish people got back Jerusalem INCLUDING THE WESTERN WALL OF THEIR ANCIENT TEMPLE!  Amazing!  The last time Israel conquered anything in 6 days was all the way back when Joshua led them as they conquered Jericho! 👈
Great Moves In Israel And The Church.
After the events of both 1948 and 1967 where God restored something back to Israel, there were great moves of God in the Church. You see, the fig tree–Israel–is always blessed first.  Afterward, he blessed the vine–the Church.  Fig tree and vine move together.
In the 1950’s there was an outpouring of God’s spirit on the Church.  They called it “the voice of healing.”  It was so easy to get healed back then!  Then in the 1970’s there was the Charismatic movement.  Great revivals, people being saved and great growth in the Church.
95FFCD37-7B3B-4F95-93BF-491E410F75B9
Psalm 80/1980.
Now, let’s jump to Psalm 80 which says:
Psalms 80:8-11
“You have brought “A VINE” out of Egypt; You have cast out the nations, and planted it. You prepared room for it, And caused it to take deep root, And it filled the land. The hills were covered with its shadow, And the mighty cedars with its boughs. She sent out her boughs to the Sea, And her branches to the River.”

Vine here is singular.  Why? To what or whom is it referring?  The Egyptian president, Anwar Sadat.  Why do I say that?  Let’s take a look at what happened in 1980.
Egyptian Vine.
President Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister, Menachem Begin, signed a peace treaty with each other and Egypt became Israel’s first ever SINCERE Arab ally.  Never before had an Arab nation made peace with Israel. In the Psalm above, God speaks of “A vine out of Egypt.”  Egypt usually typifies the world; but in this instance, there is a “Vine;” a singular vine…..coming out of the naion of Egypt, of all places!
Then, this vine was destroyed.
Psalm 80:12-13  “Why have You broken down her hedges, So that all who pass by the way pluck her fruit? The boar out of the woods uproots it, And the wild beast of the field devours it (the vine).”

(President Anwar Sadat assassinated)
The year after making peace with Israel, President Sadat was watching a parade commemorating the 6-day war when terrorists drove by and sprayed a hail of bullets in his direction.  He was hit seven times and died that very day.  God refers to these terrorists as “The boar” out of the woods that destroyed this vine.  They were the “wild beasts” that devoured it.
Sadat paid for that peace with his life. 😔
The Yom Kippur War.
Why was Egypt so anxious to sign a peace treaty with Israel in the first place?  Seven years earlier in1973 during the Yom Kippur war, the Egyptian Army ran into several “issues” when they tried to attack Israel, suffering heavy casualties.
This is the holiest day of the Jewish calendar year, the Day of Atonement.  No one was out in the streets because they were all in their individual synagogues. There was no one home watching television, there were no radio communications, there was nothing and no one to warn of an imminent attack.
Many strange stories about what happened to the Egyptians have come out. One of their top generals stopped his troops’ advance because he saw a huge arm extending down from the clouds and holding up a hand, indicating they must stop.  They were terrified, of course, so they stopped.  But their stop was just long enough to give the Israelis time to gather their forces and retaliate.
Some of their trucks were poised on the mountains of Israel and would have successfully caught them by surprise had it not been for hail stones that pelted their trucks and armaments, crippling their equipment. The hail storm came out of a clear, blue sky, seemingly from nowhere!

Hand Of God.
So what do you think?  Is God’s hand on Israel or what?  Does God keep His promises and protect His people?  YOU BETCHA!!!   But He is also thinking about His Church.  He left all of this in His word for us to find so we would have greater and greater assurance that He is totally in control of us, our future, and that all that is happening in this world is coming to pass, just as was foretold long ago. We can rest assured that all is going according to HIS plan but most importantly that His word is TRUE.  It is ACCURATE.  It is TRUSTWORTHY; HE IS TRUSTWORTHY. 🙌🏻
Here is a link to a book by a good Jewish friend  of mine, who lived during the scud missile strikes by Arab nations led by Saddam Housein, that will leave the reader with NO DOUBT that the LORD is protecting His people:

And Finally…
There is SO MUCH MORE to tell but I think this article is long enough.  Isn’t it wonderful, however, to know how much we are loved and protected by our Daddy.  How exciting it is to watch God’s word, look at events of today, and see Bible prophecies unfold before our very eyes. ♥️ Like Israel, WE ARE NOT AFRAID.  Psalm 91 assures us, “A thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.”
Child of God,  Daddy is watching you.  It’s plain to see that there are blessings upon blessings upon blessings for us and our Jewish “relatives” especially in this:

THE 19TH BOOK.

Epilogue:

Psalm 116 corresponds to the year, “2016.”  That particular year saw great upheaval and great transition, first for Israel; then for the Church, particularly in America.

As for the Jewish people, in June, Israel and Turkey reached agreement over 2010 Gaza flotilla raid and normalized relations.  In September, the US agreed on a military aid package worth $38 billion over next 10 years for Israel, the largest such deal in US history. The previous pact, set to expire in 2018, saw Israel get $3.1 billion annually.

In December, Israel suspended working ties with 12 countries that voted for a Security Council resolution condemning settlement building, after the US for the first time abstained from the vote rather than using its veto.

As for the Church, for eight long years in America especially, it was subjected to a “Ruler” who did not serve or honor the God of the Bible.  Christianity came under fire in our nation and Israel was all but abandoned as this evil leader sided with her enemies.  It seemed as if the whole world was turned upside down.

But we prayed.  We trusted in the Lord God of Hosts, and HE ANSWERED!  Look at Psalm 116 and how it corresponds to 2016:

Psalm 116:1-5

“I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. The pains of death surrounded me, And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. Then I called upon the name of the Lord: “O Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul!”

Church, the fight is far from over.  But our God is a good Daddy.  Oh yes!  Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful!  He shows us over and over again how He loves and protects His people, particularly here in the 19th Book!
