Isaiah 44:3-4
“For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
And floods on the dry ground;
I will pour My Spirit on your descendants,
And My blessing on your offspring;
They will spring up among the grass
Like willows by the watercourses.”

Church, meet “Aquarius, the Water Pourer.” This major constellation opens Scene 2 of Act 2 in our heavenly story. In the previous segment we were introduced to a very strange creature who was half goat, half fish: Capricorn. By the final decan of its portion of the story, that creature completely morphed into a Dolphin. Now we shall see our hero not only fully alive but pouring out His water of life. In so doing, He is bringing life to many others!

The Water Pourer.
Aquarius is pictured as a male figure kneeling down on one knee. He is pointing up with his left hand toward the three previous Decans as if indicating that his story was birthed out of theirs. A great stream of water is gushing out of an urn he is holding in his right hand like a flood. This torrent of water is completely consumed by a giant fish: Pisces Australis.
Fish have gills, as you know, and cannot live out of water. They do not possess high brain functioning and are instinctual in their behavior. In stark contrast, Dolphins are highly intelligent mammals. Their brains are actually quite similar to our own and, though they live in water, they breathe air and give birth to live young like we do.
This brings to mind what happened to Jesus after He Jesus died. You recall, the soldiers came to Him and were about to break His legs to hasten His death. However, they found that He was already dead, so they pierced His RIGHT side. Out poured blood and water. That is why Aquarius is holding the urn gushing water in his RIGHT HAND.

Everything in the New Testament is hidden somewhere in the Old, in case you didn’t know. This part of our Jesus’ story, incredibly, is found in the most unexpected place: The account of Gideon’s Fleece. 🤔 You may follow the link below if you’d like to read that amazing story:

Unnamed Figure.
Though we know this figure as “Aquarius,” we are not actually told his name. As I said before, he is kneeling. Sounds like a servant, doesn’t it? This is no accident!
Throughout scripture, there is a faithful, though unnamed, servant that does the bidding of many of the main characters. Who is he? The Holy Spirit! Remember what Jesus told His disciples before He ascended back to His Father? Let’s read from Acts 1, verses 4 & 5:
“And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

A New Creation.
Jesus sent to us the Holy Spirit AFTER He went back to His Father. Where once we were merely fish that were born in and lived in the sea, NOW we have been baptized into His death. We have been changed to be like Jesus being made new creations in Him.
From instinctual, reactionary fish to higher life forms, like dolphins? 🤔 Well doesn’t that speak volumes!
Our physical bodies, however, have not yet been made completely like His. So, while we are still in the “Sea,” we need to internalize the water of the word of God so it gives us LIFE and HEALTH to all our flesh, according to Proverbs 4:22. Yet…..our spirit and minds can be renewed and made more and more like His as we internalize that very water of life. In that, we differ from those who are not born again.

How do we internalize it? What does the scripture say in Romans 10:8-9? “The word is near you, in your mouth [first] and in your heart” [second] (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth [first] the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart [second] that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” [third]
THE WORD IS IN YOUR MOUTH!

Illuminating Greek.
Saved here is not just saved from hell, though that is certainly included. “Sozo,” in Greek, also refers to the saving of your physical body: Saved from sickness, saved from disease, and provided with everything we need for life in the “Sea.”
This reminds me of Jesus’ words to the woman of the well. He told her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life,” in John chapter 2, verses 13-14.

Secrets In The Hebrew Letters.
Above are the two forms of the Hebrew letter, “Mem.” Though they are both the same letter, they have two two different functions. The letter on the right is either at the beginning of a word or anywhere in the middle. The figure on the left is called, “Final Mem.” It only appears at the end of a word, never anywhere else.
–
Hebrew is a language of picture writing, like Chinese. Each letter has a picture associated with it as well as a color, a number, and a musical note. Mem is a picture of “Water,” especially flowing water, but it also a depicts the Holy Spirit!

Typologies.
Water, in biblical typology, is a picture of the word of God. God, of course, is the Author of His word. The entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is all about His Son hidden in types, shadows, and stories. But Who inspired all these men to write it? Like water flowing from the Urn of this unnamed Hero, it was THE HOLY SPIRIT! He is the river of truth flowing through this world, the One Whom Jesus sent to lead us into all righteousness. He is the One Who draws sinners to Himself by showing them the love of God, turning their hearts to the truth.

Ancient Names For The Sign.
In Hebrew, this constellation is called, “Deli,’ meaning “The water urn.” A form of this word was used by Balaam when he spoke of “Buckets,” in Numbers 24:7. The Arabs and Syrians called him, “Delu,” which has the same meaning as its Hebrew name.
The Egyptians called him, “Hupei Tirion: The Station of the Pouring Out, or the Place of His Coming Down, As Rain.” The Greeks saw him as “The pourer forth of water: Hydrokoeus.”
It is the Latin name, however, with which we are most familiar. Aquarius means, “The rising up of,” OR “The pouring forth of water.” In any case, all of these different cultures saw Aquarius as something to do with water being poured out. Amazing!

Ancient Names Of The Stars.
Just as the Holy Spirit defers to Jesus and the Father, preferring not to call attention to Himself, so the stars in Aquarius are not very bright, speaking to their servant position. A servant, of course, never outshines his master.
All of the names that have come down to us from the ancients perfectly line up with the story they tell. The brightest of these is, “Sa’ Ad Al Malik,” an Arabic name meaning, “The record of the pouring out.” You can see it in the figure above, located in the right shoulder of Aquarius. They also called the star called, “Saad al Suud: He who goes and returns, the Pourer out of the stream.”
The brightest star, located in the right shin of our figure, was called by the Hebrews, “Scheat: Who goes and returns.” Two other constellations share stars so named: Capricorn and Pegasus.
“The fourth star, “Ancha,” is located in the Urn. It means, “The Vessel of Pouring Out, The Urn.” And last but not least, inside the mouth of the urn is a very small star which carries the Latin name, “Situla.” It means, “A small urn for drawing water.”

The Denderah.
The most ancient planisphere from Denderah, Egypt, no surprise, often has names and meanings closer to what the Father intended. They saw this sign as a man pouring streams of water from TWO URNS! He is holding one in each hand and the giant fish, “Piscis Austrails,” (the Southern Fish) appears to have been poured out from the urn. They called this constellation, “Aru: The River.

The Decans Of Aquarius.
Next we will move to the three Decans associated with Aquarius. We will see how they fill in even more of this amazing story written so very long ago in the night sky by a loving God Who wants everyone to come to know Jesus, be born of water, and have everlasting life!
