As The High Priest Goes, So Goes The Nation

Exodus 25:10-11
“And they shall make an ark of acacia wood; two and a half cubits shall be its length, a cubit and a half its width, and a cubit and a half its height. And you shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and shall make on it a molding of gold all around.”

Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” God blesses a group, a Church, or a nation based on their leadership…..or, His blessing is cut off from that group or nation which does not honor Him.  How do we know this to be true?  The Holy Spirit has drawn us a picture in the high priest of ancient Israel.

Ancient Israel.

In ancient Israel, God judged the people based on their high priest. If he was good and offered right sacrifices that were acceptable to God, the whole nation would be accepted.  They would be blessed for the year ahead with every blessing.  If they were did evil, it didn’t matter.  They were still accepted. 😮 😀

But…..if the high priest was bad and his offering was not accepted, even if the people were good, THE WHOLE NATION WOULD BE REJECTED.  God judged the WHOLE NATION, whether good or bad, based solely on their high priest.

Well, that’s a pretty shaky deal if you ask me!  You, as an individual, had NO control; NO say over whether you got a good priest or a bad one.  You were totally at his mercy.

Headships And Leaderships.

Corporately speaking, God works through headships and leaderships.  Though it is true He deals with us as individuals, even today he blesses a Church, or a nation, based on their leadership, OR…..He blessing is cut off from that group or nation which does not honor Him.  This is why it is so important that you be under godly leadership and why we need to  elect men and women who honor God and at least try to do right.

In a corporate church setting, for instance, you will not be able to rise above your leader.  If your pastor does not believe in the gifts of the spirit, then they cannot operate in your Church.  The extent to which he or she believes God’s inspired word (or not), to that extent the people either suffer or are blessed.

Better Covenant.

According to the book of Hebrews, you and I have “Better promises based on better blood!”  HALLELUJAH!  We have a better covenant because our Great High Priest, Jesus, is always good, always perfect, and He is alive forever!  He is ALWAYS ACCEPTABLE TO GOD!

Aren’t you glad Jesus is our Great High Priest?!  AMEN!!! 😁 ♥️

New Covenant.

Under the New Covenant, it’s the same deal as under the old.  As our High Priest, Jesus, goes, SO GOES THE NATION–THE CHURCH!

When God evaluates you and I, He doesn’t look at us:  He looks at our Lamb, our PERFECT REPRESENTATIVE, JESUS.  Is there ever a time that Jesus is unacceptable?  No, NEVER!!!  The altogether lovely ONE is ALWAYS acceptable.

If He is acceptable, then so are you…….and He is priest FOREVER after the order of Melchizedek, and has been for 2,000 years…….and counting!   “As he is, so are we IN THIS WORLD,” it says in 1 john 4:17.  The verse doesn’t say, “In heaven,” or “Some day,” but “IN THIS WORLD.”  It isn’t pie in the sky by and by.

Is Jesus in perfect health?   YES!  Does He have everything He needs?  YES!  All that He is, all that He has, IS YOUR HERITAGE AS WELL.  In fact, health and healing is not just a promise, it’s a blood-bought right OF THE BLOOD-BOUGHT CONGREGATION.

God Is Not The Author Of Disease

Jesus is always welcome, always loved, and always acceptable to His Father…..and SO ARE YOU…..ALWAYS. ♥️ So fear not, church.  “You are ALWAYS accepted in The Beloved” because  as our Great High Priest, Jesus, goes,…..SO GOES THE NATION:  US!
