Revelation 5:1-4 1 “And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?” 3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. 4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll.”

The Book of Revelation can be confusing and hard to understand. But, with a few tools, tips, and clues, it becomes much easier. This particular chapter is one of my favorites! Revelation 5 has to be THE GREATEST GRACE CHAPTER in the entire Bible. Why? Because it’s the story of the greatest rescue of all time: OURS! Even the number of it, 5, is the number of Grace! ♥️

Seven Sealed Scroll.
It begins with both John and the angels weeping because no one was found worthy to open the seven-sealed scroll. My question is, “Why were they all so upset?” I mean, every time a seal was opened in heaven, according to the following chapter, something really bad happens on the earth? I’m thinkin’, “Keep it sealed!” Seriously! 😮
Chapter 6 records what happens when the first seal is broken. It ain’t pretty 😭:
1 “Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out CONQUERING AND TO CONQUER.”

Is there any other place in scripture that may shed some light on the matter at hand? As a matter of fact there is!
Jeremiah’s Answer.
6 “And Jeremiah said, ‘The word of the LORD came to me, saying, 7 ‘Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you, saying, “Buy my field which is in Anathoth, for the RIGHT OF REDEMPTION IS YOURS to buy it.”’
8 Then Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said to me, ‘Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin; for the RIGHT OF INHERITANCE IS YOURS, and the REDEMPTION YOURS; buy it for yourself.’ Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.
9 So I bought the field from Hanamel, the son of my uncle who was in Anathoth, and weighed out to him the money—seventeen shekels of silver. 10 And I SIGNED THE DEED AND SEALED IT, took witnesses, and weighed the money on the scales. 11 So I took the purchase deed, both that which was SEALED according to the law and custom, and that which was OPEN; 12 and I gave the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the purchase deed, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the prison.”

What kind of an answer is that? 😳 Why would Jeremiah start telling Zedekiah about buying his cousin’s field? Seems kinda crazy! But, as usual, our Master StoryTeller, the Holy Spirit, is up to something! 🤭 He always has great purpose in everything He does, and we’re about to find out what it is!

Secrets Behind The Surface Story In The Hebrew Language.
First of all, why did the Holy Spirit have Jeremiah phrase his remarks like this: **“Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle?” Tell me: Who is the son of your uncle? Your cousin, of course. So why doesn’t He just say so? **Because He wanted their names mentioned!

You see, God loves to hide truths in His word for us to find. The names documented in this passage have some very interesting meanings. Hanamel means “The grace (hana) of God (El). Shallum comes from the Hebrew word, “Shelem,” which means “Paid.” Who is it that paid for the grace of God? Jesus! The name, “Anathoth,” means, “Answers to prayers!”

Looks to me like the meanings of names and places in this passage are telling us a completely different story than the we’re reading one on the surface. If you’re seeing it too, you’re not wrong. This is a great example of the 4th and deepest level of Bible study, identified by Jewish Rabbis BTW. It is known as the “Sod.” In this layer are found the the mystical and prophetic meanings in the text. Yes, these are actual events that happened to real people. But the Holy Spirit is using them to tell us more about Jesus and, in this case, the end times as well!

Kinsman Redeemer/Goél.
In this passage, Jeremiah is acting as “Goél,” or “Kinsman Redeemer,” for his cousin. Boaz performed this duty for Ruth, a picture of Jesus Who did it for all of us.
In order to qualify to be a goel for someone, a man had to meet the following conditions:
#1: He must be a close relative:
#2: He must be wealthy enough to redeem the lost or forfeited property; and
#3: He must be willing to purchase what was lost and restore it to the relative freely, no strings attached.

This entire perfect, earthly paradise was created for us by God. But it was forfeited to satan by Adam who bowed his knee to that outlaw spirit instead of to the Holy Spirit in the garden. In so doing, he committed high treason.
God had given man dominion to rule over and subdue the earth, animals, etc. He said, “Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work.” Basically, it was a six “day” (6 thousand year) lease.
You see, according to 2 Peter, a day to God is as, or similar to, a thousand years. By that reckoning, it’s clear that our 6,000 year lease is going to be up very soon. We are in the early dawn hours of the seventh day. By God’s reckoning, to Him Jesus would have died only 2 days ago.
Very soon, God will once again take back control of this earth. HALLELUJAH! ♥️

Forfeited Inheritance.

Jeremiah 32:10
“And I SIGNED THE DEED AND SEALED IT, took witnesses, and weighed the money on the scales. 11 So I took the purchase deed, both that which was SEALED according to the law and custom, and that which was OPEN;”
Further on in verse 14 we read:
“Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: “Take these deeds, both this purchase deed which is SEALED and this deed which is OPEN, and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may last many days.” 15 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: “Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.”’

Here is what it all means: 👇👇
The scroll is sealed. Witnesses names are on the outside; the terms and conditions are on the inside. AS LONG AS THE SCROLL REMAINS SEALED, THE INHERITANCE REMAINS FORFEITED. Until some rich relative could come to the aide of the one whose inheritance was lost, buy back his land, and unseal the scroll, the inheritance remained legally forfeited. All of the terms and conditions written inside the scroll remained in effect until it could be legally redeemed by someone qualified to act as Goel. 👈

Jesus’ death was far and above an OVERPAYMENT of the debt levied against us. He bought back that scroll from the devil’s hand, unsealed the seven seals from every born again person, and freed us from ALL those curses listed in graphic, excruciating, terrifying detail in Deuteronomy 28. They were our FORMER inheritance.

HALLELUJAH!!! Thanks to Jesus, these seven seals have NO MORE CLAIM ON US; no more right to affect us and our earth. Believers are standing on NO CURSE GROUND! But…..as I said of unbelievers before, the devil can pick on them any time he pleases. I would say they are at his mercy, but he doesn’t have any. He is completely ruthless.

Names Of The Seals.
Below are listed the names of all the evils that have been UNsealed off the life of every believer. Understand, however, that the seals and the four horsemen will not actually be unleashed until after Jesus calls His Church home. But their influence in advance of the Great Tribulation is definitely affecting our world. Once we are called back home and gone from this earth, it will become exponentially worse!

The 1st seal—>the counterfeit rider on a white horse: the spirit of anti-Christ.

Notice it isn’t the spirit of “Anti-God,” but “AntiChrist.” The Bible also does not say that, “At the name of God every knee will bow; it says, “AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW!

Why do you think so many people are blind enough to choose leaders that are clearly evil? Why is there so much anti-Semitism and anti Christian rhetoric running amock in the world today? Persecution and murder of Jews and Christians? Mindless violence in diverse places and global terrorism? The threat of nuclear war?
Because those who are not UNsealed are being adversely affected by THE INFLUENCE RIDER ON THE WHITE HORSE in advance of his coming: It is the spirit of anti-Christ for which they have no defense.
Sadly, you cannot reason with these people. Their foolish hearts and minds are darkened. It is a seal on their lives. The only hope for them is One Who can break the seal and open their eyes. Who is this One? The Lion of the tribe of Judah: Jesus is His Name!

The 2nd seal—>The rider on the red horse. He takes peace from the earth “so that PEOPLE SHOULD KILL ONE ANOTHER.”

Sound familiar? It should with all the violence around the world these days. We are living in the most dangerous time in all history. It’s like the world has gone crazy! The people perpetrating all the evil today are being affected by the RIDE ON THE RED HORSE in advance of his actual arrival.
You cannot reason with them. It is a seal on their lives. The only hope for them is the One Who can open the seals and open their eyes. Who is this One? The Lion of the tribe of Judah: Jesus is the His Name!

3rd seal—>The rider on the black horse. He who sat on it had a “pair of scales in his hand,” signifying lack: “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”

This rider signifies want and lack. There is a coming financial famine that they cannot escape. It is a seal and cannot be overcome by human effort. The only sure source of supply must be our Lord Jesus. Your security cannot be in your job, your efforts, or the stock market. It must be in Him
His children will not go begging bread. The Lord Jesus Himself is our Shepherd. Psalm 23 says, “WE SHALL NOT LACK.”

4th seal—>The Rider on the pale horse.
7″ And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the *beasts of the earth.”

*The word in Greek for “beasts of the earth,” is not like a lion or tiger; it’s a diminutive term referring to something very tiny, invisible to the naked eye, MICROORGANISMS that cause all manner of diseases. Ebola; SARS; Bird Flu; Legionnaires disease, the infamous corona virus, etc.
The Lion of the Tribe of Judah: Jesus is His Name!
Because of Jesus, EVERY SEAL IS BROKEN, UNsealed off the life of every believer! All those bowls of judgment, which should be poured over us, were poured out on Jesus; one after another after another after another until all God’s holy wrath and judgment was spent and it was FINISHED!!! As He took our place, we now take His place!
These horsemen and all those bowls of wrath will not, CANNOT, harm the sheep of His flock! They have been UNsealed off your life! So Church, don’t be afraid to read this wonderful book. Read it with the understanding that JESUS FINISHED THE WORK. He sat down at the right hand of The Father, not because He is God, although He is….Or the Son of a God…..although He is. NO! “Having purged all our sins,” He had a righteous foundation. He sat down” because HE FINISHED THE WORK!

Revelation now becomes a book of hope, of promise because we have been redeemed from EVERY CURSE and EVERY JUDGMENT!!!

Come under the shelter of His wings if you haven’t yet. Come! Let Jesus unseal your life from the destruction that is even now beginning to take place in these last days. You don’t need to let all those seals affect your life; your earth; your family. No! Stand on the safe, solid, rainbow-encircled, NO JUDGMENT GROUND of the redeemed of The Lord! Say “Yes!” to THE ONE WHO PAID FOR IT ALL and holds in His nail-pierced hand your paid-in-full receipt…..IF you’ll accept it.

Then, when you do, neither you nor any of your loved ones will ever have anything to fear from the SCROLL WITH SEVEN SEALS.
